The definition of stress is, “the response of the body to any demand made upon it.” Before the body can respond, it must be given a command from the brain. There are two different parts of the mind, and both of them intake information by our five senses.  The “conscious mind”, thinks, reasons, analyzes, and has emotions and goals. The other mind is the “unconscious mind”, which controls the physical body and takes everything “literally”. How they work together is the “unconscious” reacts the way its been programmed through our life experiences, to our conscious thoughts. It just records and reacts, period, it doesn’t care about the consequences. It is the computer part of the mind that just records and “reacts” the way it has been programmed.  The “mind” determines the how you manage the stress in your life.  Managing your stress starts with your mind and basic attitudes. Thoughts demonstrates itself in action. You are what you think and your brain is like a computer that carries those thoughts out. By repeating POSITIVE thoughts it repeats and replaces self defeating “NEGATIVE” thoughts.  What you program in is exactly what “comes out.” You are the power your own suggestions and thoughts!
Handling everyday stress is just a matter of giving yourself permission to change your programming. How you achieve that change is by repetition of positive messages to your unconscious mind.  By using your own power of suggestion you are getting into the habit of positive action-thought…. without action you will get nowhere!  To start your re-programming you must be committed and emotionally involved in that change or you will be doomed to failure. This is the only foolproof way to make changes. When you have two ideas the unconscious will always accept the dominant one. The unconscious is programmed by repetition, so repeat those positive suggestions often.

It doesn’t matter what the cause of your stress or anxiety is, this formula will work.  Since the unconscious doesn’t “think” but only “responds”,  it doesn’t know the difference between “good stress” and “bad stress”,  so it reacts the same. By feeding calming and positive programs directly into your brain you have made the decision to change.  Because the unconscious doesn’t know the difference between fact and imagined fact when you use mental pictures, positive words, and strong feelings, the brain accepts that as reality, thus you get the desired results. It is important to understand that what you say and think ALWAYS affects you.

Always speak with authority to yourself and believe your words will heal you. WORDS ARE THE MOST POWERFUL  DRUGS WE CAN USE!  Negative words and thoughts will eat away at your self-esteem and confidence.   Everyday eliminate those negative and stressful thoughts and programmings. Let go of negative childhood programming . Let the “adult you” be responsible for your new programming of positive attitude and thoughts.

You control the the affects of stress with the program you can write for yourself.
